Reground blade

Stone I used was a Norton (Norzon) 14x3/8x1-1/4 part #SG2981*301463.

new mower

Cutter blade

Reground edge of blade to a tooth design it works alot better for your late spring weeds with hard stems.   12-24-10  This grind didn't work with push mowers spins to slow.  Straight  grind works better.

Grinding fixture

This setup is what I created from a old radial saw that hasn't been used in years. Angle on 4x4 is 35 Deg. with a 3/8 in. stud holding blade in place. Water pump is from Harbor Freight.

Another view

This view shows stop assy. used for regrinding blade to same settings. this is second version first , would be best described as "not good".

moisture

not nearly as bad as the first one but still not usable. Let the core sit out overnight and it dryed somewhat but not enought. oh well back in the pot and keep trying.
